If you are just starting out, I would recommend that you start off with one of the free platforms – Bloggers , WordPress , Tumblr , Medium .
With these, you can have your blog up and running within 10 minutes. Although the free don’t offer as much flexibility or options as the paid one, these should be good enough to get your feet wet.
However, if you are feeling a little courageous and like a little challenge, come on over the paid side where all the wonderful things are waiting for you.
On the paid side, there is a little learning curve and your investment (around $100 per year). But keep reading this post, and I will show you how you can get 100 times more back from your initial investment.
You would need to get a domain/website name and a webhosting company. I would recommend these – 1And1, Blue host, and Go Daddy. These are the most affordable, trustworthy, and reliable ones.
Next, you would need WordPress CMS (Content Management System) install on your site. You can easily do this from the control plane or you can just contact 1And1, Bluehost, or Go Daddy customer services and they will install it for you.

1) Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a very popular way to make money through your website/blog. In short, you sell someone else’s product(s) on your website. When your website visitor clicks on your affiliate link and buys the product – you’ll receive commission.
The commission is usually 30% – 70% of the product or service price. So if you promote an e-book that costs $100, you’ll get $50 for referring the buyer (just an example).

Google has made a program called Google Adsense .
